Battle mechanics / GUIDE 05
Jackal was shot. Why did Biscuit fall?
Jackal shares damage taken with several allies, so an attack aimed at Jackal can bring down another Nikke.
When Jackal is hit, the linked Nikkes are hit too
Jackal links several allies and shares the damage they take (damage sharing). In a real Biscuit–Emilia match record, the shared part of an Emilia normal attack aimed at Jackal brought Biscuit down. Looking only at Jackal’s hits, you cannot see why Biscuit fell.
In that match, Jackal, Noir and Biscuit were linked at first; after Noir fell, Jackal and Biscuit were left. When a linked Nikke falls, the remaining ones share the damage between them.
Each share depends on how many are linked
Split evenly, 228,393 damage is 228,393 for one, 114,197 each for two, or 76,131 each for three. The fewer Nikkes linked, the bigger each one’s share.
In real matches, damage and the number linked differ for every attack, and barriers matter too, so look at them together.
